The number of co-opted members must not exceed one-fifth of the elected lay members. The minimum age of PCC member is 17. At Holy Cross nine lay people are elected (3 per year) for a 3-year term and then can be re-elected for one further 3year term by members of the Church Electoral Roll at each Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM). This is held in the spring, not later than 30 April. On the same day there is an Annual Meeting of Parishioners (AMP). At this two churchwardens are chosen by adult residents of the parish who attend. Churchwardens are ex-officio members of the PCC. Additional ex-officio members are the representatives at the Rickmansworth Deanery Synod. The number is determined by a church`s size and Holy Cross currently qualifies for three, elected at an APCM for a 3-year term by members on the Church Electoral Roll. At least four PCC meetings must be held each year, and the quorum for a meeting is one-third of the membership. Sub-committees A number of sub-committees exist to carry out detailed business in specific areas and to make recommendations to the PCC as and when appropriate. Membership of sub-committees (apart from the Standing Committee) may include a minority of people who are not members of the PCC. Currently the sub-committees are Standing; Buildings & Churchyard; Fundraising,Joint groups with Chipperfield: Children and Youth; Worship; Learn and Nurture and Mission and Evangelism.
