The Bellringers and the Bells
Details of the bellringing team and the Bells.
THE BELLRINGING TEAMWe have an active bellringing group called The Sarratt Bell Ringers whose current members are:
David Clough
Susan Humphreys
Debbie Kingston
Robert Penn (Tower Captain)
June Rees (Secretary)
plus Jean Machin, a regular guest ringer and member of the Watford District.
Practice night is alternate Wednesdays, however it is best to check that a practice is going to take place.
Anybody interested in leaning to ring should contact June Rees on 01923 268345.
The Sarratt Bell Ringers group is a member of The Hertford County Association of Change-Ringers (web site: http://www.hcacr.org.uk) which was founded on October 29th 1884, and is devided in to six districts as follows:
Bishops Storfod District
Eastern District
Northern Distsrict
St. Albans District
Watford District
Western District
Sarratt is in the Western District.
With regard to ringing at wedding etc. this would normaly be arranged through the incumbent.
