Latest News LENT DETAILS "Bishop`s Challenge" LENT Bishop`s Challenge The Bishop has called us as the people of God in this Diocese to be involved in the following: 1. One part of the challenge is to receive a daily verse from Luke`s Gospel and to ‘read it, learn it, pray it, do it!` These verses will be set out on the weekly welcome sheet or can be downloaded directly from the website www.stalbans.anglican.org/Mission/Lent-Course-2010, where further details of the Bishop`s challenge can be found. The idea is to learn some words of Jesus by heart each day and then pray that God will give us the chance to put them into action. 2. To become part of a small group which would meet weekly to spend some time looking at the Gospel for each Sunday in Lent. (These readings will be the basis of Sunday sermons in Lent.)
